about

The Southside Aces have put together their fifth album of traditional jazz, ranging from covering the masters to writing brand new originals. Second Thursday is named for the night each month that the Southside Aces descend upon the Eagles Aerie #34 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Any time you show up, you'll hear a different musician or composer from jazz history being featured, from Louis Armstrong to Jelly Roll Morton to Bob French or the Hall Brothers Jazz Band, just to name a few. Each of the songs on the album had their place in one of those great nights of jazz.
